World Pregnancy Day: Honoring Every Story on the Journey to Motherhood

Every year on March 22nd, we pause to acknowledge the most profound human experience there is — pregnancy. Not just the glowing, golden version we so often see celebrated, but the full spectrum: the longing, the loss, the unexpected, the miraculous, and everything in between.

World Pregnancy Day was created to bring visibility and compassion to the entire perinatal experience. It's a day to celebrate new life - but also to hold space for the stories that don't get told often enough.

World Pregnancy Day is an invitation to bring some of that out of isolation and into community. To say: your story matters.

Whether you are currently expecting, have given birth, are trying to conceive, are navigating loss, or are somewhere in the wide, complex landscape of motherhood, today is for you.

At Blue Buddha, we believe movement and mindfulness can be powerful companions on the perinatal journey. The mat is a place to come home to your body, especially when that body has been through something enormous. Breath, stillness, and gentle movement can help us process what words sometimes can't quite reach.

In honor of World Pregnancy Day, we're hosting Holding the Mother: A Perinatal Gathering & Sharing Circle on Sunday, March 22nd, 10:30–11:30am.

This intimate circle is open to anyone who has experienced the battles and beauty of pregnancy. Together we will weave in mindfulness, gentle movement, and reflective writing to create a supportive container to share whatever feels present for you — your journey to or through pregnancy, birth, loss, postpartum, or motherhood. Your story is welcome here.

Bring your mat, a journal, an open heart, and a willingness to both share and receive as we nurture ourselves and one another.
